Baptism
At Central Lutheran Church, we believe that baptism is a sacred and transformative rite of passage. It is through the waters of baptism that we are brought into the loving embrace of God and become members of His family. As we stand with our families, godparents, and the wider church community, we give thanks for the incredible gift of adoption that has been bestowed upon us.
Baptism marks the start of a lifelong journey of faith, one that will take us on a journey of growth and discovery as we seek to deepen our relationship with God and with one another. At Central, we are privileged to celebrate with people of all ages as they begin this journey through the sacrament of baptism.
As we are immersed in the baptismal waters, we are reminded of the love and grace of God that has been poured out upon us. We are made new in Christ, and given the opportunity to live out our faith in a way that brings glory to His name. If you are interested in being baptized at Central, we encourage you to speak with one of our pastors to learn more about this important step in your faith journey.

We are happy to baptize anyone and everyone who wants to be baptized. If you baptize your child at Central, they automatically become a Central member. If you want to become a member, you are welcome to talk to us about it, but there is no obligation.

We have group baptisms every few months to make the scheduling manageable for staff and volunteers. We will baptize you/your child, and everyone who signed up for a specific service individually during a designated time during the same service.

Yes! We baptize people of all ages and are happy to baptize family members together. Just let us know in the form.

Choosing a sponsor (another word for godparent) is a big decision. Your child’s sponsor is responsible for helping to raise your child in their faith. If you want time to make this decision, you can leave that section of the form blank. You can also feel free to talk to Pam Moran or Pastor Aaron if you want help making this decision.
